Good morning all ,

and welcome to Hump Day … lol

Well we had a wild night of weather here in the Ozarks last night . With several tornadoes reported around the area . I think Buffalo to our north and Branson to our south were the hardest hit in our area . Clean up continues this morning as well as rescue operations .

We had some pretty high winds here at our place around 60-65mph, with heavy rain accompanied by a lot of thunder and lightning .

Power outages are scattered across the area .

Our thoughts are with all those effected by the storms .

‘Congratulations’

to Matt Kenseth this morning for winning the first Prime Time Dayton 500 . Nearly 36 hours after its scheduled start , it finally came to an end with Kenseth in the lead . A series of crazy events over the last 2 days in Daytona to get the race in , but they did it . I am sure all drivers were tired and ready to be done with Daytona for this opening race week in Daytona Beach , Florida .

I have added an Alabama hunt to my schedule for Spring Turkey . After my hunt in Florida with Camp David Hunt Club , Ill be heading to Alabama to chase gobblers with a good friend of mine . And , as like Florida , we’ll be doing a little hog hunting as well .

Ive had a busy day with attending the SCI Hunters Expo in Kansas City . As well as working on my spring hunt schedule . It looks like I will be adding a Alabama hunt to my spring schedule in the near future .

I am also working on a Oklahoma hog hunt to take place within the next few weeks .

All the travelling is going to get horrific soon .

about a chance to go on a South African Safari and hunt with me . I have booked a hunt and have several openings at a discounted rate should anybody be interested . The hunt will take place in July of 2013 . Ill post more details later .

We made it to the end of the week . What a weekend ahead .

I will be attending a couple expo’s this weekend , the SCI Hunters Expo in Kansas City on Saturday . Located at the KCI Expo Center . Also the Hunt / Fish / Swap meet for Arc of the Ozarks , located in Springfield .

I spent some time yesterday down at Branson Archery . I wanted to check out a few of the new bow’s they have on hand . I am shopping for myself and unsure of what I want yet . I am really liking the Mathews Heli , the Bowtech Insanity , and the PSE Revenge as well . All are very nice bows . Short axle to axle and light weight . I am planning a trip back down next week one day to actually shoot all 3 and try to make a decision . The next hardest thing to decide , will be a finish color or pattern .

The return of NASCAR is upon us . It has been a long week in Daytona with testing and qualifying . The Great Race , the Daytona 500 is this Sunday . Ill for sure have my television tuned in .

I hope everybody is having a wonderful time .

We have the return of NASCAR . ‘Congratulations’ to Kyle Busch for winning the Bud Shoot Out in Daytona , Florida last night . Tony Stewart put on a good show and put forth his best effort to win but couldn’t hold off Kyle . Jeff Gordon took a wild ride in a late race accident . The opening race of the season was definitely action packed . Leaves us to wonder how the Daytona 500 will turn out . I know I am ready for the action packed race season .

Spring turkey season ,

My season will begin this year in Florida at Camp David Hunt Club . Plans are made , reservations set , and tickets bought . I will be in Florida for a couple days of hog hunting , as well as a few days of hunting Florida’s season opener . I am looking forward to taking an Osceola with David Watson and his group of family and friends .

If your looking for a Florida get away , be sure to contact David to see what he has to offer . From guided airboat tours , turkey hunting , hog hunting ( with and without dogs) , they offer a wide array of scenarios . Including fall alligator hunting .

I wanted to share a pic of my Valentines present my wife picked up for me . Im sure I will have no problem putting it to good use come spring turkey season .

It’s a Mossberg 835 Ulti-Mag 12 gauge . It is the Mossy Oak Turkey Thug Edition . Im excited to get it out in the field and set the TruGlo red dot .

Dates have not been confirmed yet for several of my upcoming hunts . As soon as I find out and make the travel plans , Ill post the info .

Good morning my friends and welcome to Wednesday ,

I have been busy this week catching up on Spur Chaser business , as well as planning for the upcoming spring turkey season . As of now it appears I will be starting my season in Florida with David Watson and Camp David Hunt Club around mid March in search of a worthy Osceola thunder chicken . If time permits , we will be doing a little hog hunting while Im there .

Shortly there after I will be hunting Oklahoma and Missouri . With a good possibility of a trip to North Carolina to follow .

Good morning to all my friends and family ,

Welcome to the new week . I hope your weekend went well and you enjoyed every minute of it .

I am home now after a busy few days and a lot of travel . From the commute home from Nebraska on Thursday , to the trip to Nashville on Friday returning home yesterday evening . I had a good visit with friends at the NWTF Convention . If I didn’t get a chance to meet you or spend more time , I am sorry . The schedule just didn’t permit it . There will always be the next trip . I have a lot going on for this spring with several sporting shows / banquets , as well as some travel for spring turkey hunts .

Keep an eye on my post’s through Facebook as well as here to see if Ill be in your area anytime soon .

We have snow on the ground here at the house . The kids are out of school for the day . It will be nice to have a daddy day with them .

So far we have only picked up about 3/4” , the weather is calling for more snow mixed with freezing rain and drizzle throughout the day . Total’s to reach around 3” by this evening . Would have been a nice day to try and call in some coyotes with the new line of Spur Chaser calls .

Keep an eye out for all the new products coming to the store . I have to meet with the photographer this week to get the pictures done for the website . Then we should be all good to complete the updates / additions .

Sorry for the delay in posts …

I am at home now to celebrate my youngest’s 4th B-day . I am heading out tomorrow to the NWTF Convention in Nashville . I hope to see some of you there .

Just got word this evening that the Spur Chaser Racing Team finished 25th in the main event at the King of the Hammers in California . Not bad for a field of 140 entries , and beating out Robbie Gordon . ‘Congrats’ to the team for putting forth there effort in the Spur Chaser fashion .

Ill have pic’s soon from Nashville to post and upcoming hunt dates .

Im still in Nebraska . Mother Nature was nice enough to dump 10-12” of snow on us yesterday . That didn’t stop us from workin’ though .
