Hunting Life was the first to make the announcement about show debut for Spur Chaser TV. The first month or two on the air for us is going to be a bit rough. This is all a new learning curve for us from filming to editing. I don’t think it will take us long to work out the imperfections and be on a steady roll with it.

As the year winds down toward the end, a lot of plans are being hashed out for the upcoming spring season.
I am still working on ending the Fall/Winter Whitetail Season with another hunt or two possible. I have been spending some time in the fields chasing ducks and geese lately. Starting to turn my focus towards predators with the winter snow on the ground.

Missouri muzzleloader season opens this Saturday, the 21st. I might try to squeeze in a Holiday hunt with the black powder.

I wanted to pass on a Big ‘Congrats’ to Cheyanna. She is the daughter of Spur Chaser TV Crew Member Twyla. They are returning home from a very successful hunting trip to Texas. Cheyanna was fortunate enough to harvest not only her First Buck, but she managed to take a Wild Hog as well. In true Southern Style, she stabbed the pig after baying it with dogs.

I just returned home from a 9 day trip to Missouri. I had hunters from Wisconsin and Texas on my property. 3 of the 4 were successful in harvesting a deer.
We seen some nice shooter bucks, however no one managed to take a shot.

We are nearing the weekend. I had a successful trip to Missouri. Nothing in the way of a Buck, but I did manage to put down a respectable Doe for the freezer.
The Mathews CREED did its job. You can see the setup in the pic with the Midland XTC 350 mounted above my Dead Center Archery Stabilizer. The quick disconnects really work good for the setup. Notice the custom carbon wrap on my HHA sight. The deer didn’t stand a chance with the Carbon Express RED’s matched with the Grim Reaper Broadheads.

I have been busy today working on phone calls and emails for the business. I am currently working out some details to finalize some new Sponsors as well as a couple Affiliates. I will share that info as available.
I have not been able to get out in the woods since the Archery Opener last weekend. I am holding off until the first part of October. I will be hunting Whitetail in Missouri and Wild Boar in Oklahoma. Should be a good trip with the potential to fill the freezer quick.
Cooler temps are on the way as the First Day of Fall fast approaches. This coming Saturday is the Last Day of Summer. You can really tell by the crops and the leaves turning. Harvest Days are upon us.

I have been hunting for several weeks now, however I started early on different types of species. My whitetail hunting season opens in Missouri this coming weekend. I however will miss opening day do to some much needed business meetings.

I wanted to touch base quick as I returned today from my Bear Hunt in the North Woods of Maine. Unfortunately No Luck, however that is Hunting.
I am looking at the possibility of returning later this season to try again before the end of the Fall Bear Season.

We made it to the weekend. I wanted to share another pic from the Florida trip last weekend.
Picture is a little fuzzy , but it was hard to get the hog to hold still for the shot. We bayed him up with dogs alive, took some pic’s, then cut him loose. About a 200lb pig. Always something fun to do in Florida.

I am sorry for the delay in post’s … I just returned home this morning from a exceptional hunt in Florida. I managed to take 2 gators that each measured 10’ 6” and 10’ 5” .
I was hunting with Grayson Padrick of Central Florida Trophy Hunts. They are good people and I HIGHLY recommend them. I have hunted with them for several years now and I will continue to. They offer a variety of hunting services, Alligator / Osceola Turkey / Wild Hogs / Bow Fishing. Grayson has the buggy showed in the pic, as well as a completely newly redone Airboat. He has been in business in central Florida along the Space Coast for years and is one of the most Highly Recognized Outfitters in his trade.

We had to postpone the Video Shoot in Montgomery , Alabama … Cancel the Appearance/Attendance at the World Deer Expo in Birmingham , Alabama … and reschedule the Hog Hunt in Southern Florida with Warren Silvers. I am confident in the recovery of Camera Jockey Jeromy Allen, as well as the New Schedule.
Plans to attend the Deer Expo in Oshkosh , Wisconsin this coming weekend are still a GO. I hope to see some of you there and meet in person. I have a couple scheduled meetings while I am there, as well as a meeting in Southern Illinois this coming week.

After a rain delay, the drivers of NASCAR will take to the track today in Kentucky.
We had time as a family yesterday to spend some time out and about. We visited the local Bass Pro Shops for a bit as the kids enjoy it.
They got a treat as we exited the store to find a couple Monster Trucks parked on the sidewalk.
Grave Digger is my sons favorite so he was pleased…lol

I have been busy setting up the gun / bow for our upcoming Florida Hog Hunt. I am going to try and get some pic’s and video one evening of some practice in the dark.
These HawgLite’s are amazing in the dark. Feature an excellent beam and are very affective out past 100 yards. I mounted the Red lighted ‘Sabre’ on my bow and the White lighted ‘Ghost’ on my rifle.

We took some time out of the weekend to relax and spend time around the fire. We roasted marshmallows last night with the kids, after spending the day with family members at a bbq celebrating a birthday.

Our thoughts are with the family, friends, fans of Race Driver Allan Simonsen. He passed away suddenly yesterday in a crash during the running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

I had a productive day yesterday as I met with the local school Superintendent. I have been working on introducing a NASP ( National Archery in the Schools Program ) to the local area schools. Meetings have gone well thus far and the school is extremely receptive and excited over the added curriculum. Next step is to present the idea to the School Board.
Along with the program , we will be offering a BAI ( Basic Archery Instructor ) class to those interested in obtaining there certification. The class will be mandatory for the teachers, as well as anybody wanting to help participate with the children involved.
So the Miami Heat emerge as the NBA Champions. Honestly cant say I followed the playoffs that close. I am excited about the Blackhawks playing for the NHL Stanley Cup. They will be on the ice again tomorrow evening.

Another busy day as I meet with the local School Officials to try and introduce a NASP ‘Archery in the Schools’ program. The local school system is receptive and excited about the idea. We shall see what we can accomplish.

I spent some time yesterday at Bass Pro with my two youngest. They have been taking pert in the Summer Camp activities offered for kids.
My youngest daughter decided she wants to shoot archery with the rest of us. Her older brother took the initiative to give me a hand yesterday instructing her.

I spent some time practicing yesterday, I just want to say ‘Thank You’ to my Archery Sponsors , … Mathews (CREED) , Dead Center Archery (Dead Level Hunter System) , HHA (Optimizer Lite Ultra) .
I shot this ‘Robin Hood’ while practicing at 32 yards from an elevated position. Had a nice grouping of 6 arrows , only 5 made the target … lol.

We made it through the work week and into another Race Day. It is a Double Header today as NASCAR takes on Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pa.
Nationwide starts the action followed by the NASCAR Pocono 400.
Grab a seat in your favorite lounger and get ready for the action.

I have some travels this coming week as I take to the highway to make a couple meetings. Hope to have some good news to share later in the week.
Well, we have made it to the midway point of the weekend.
If you are looking for something to do this evening, you can always watch the CMT Country Music Awards show.
I have been looking into a possible bear hunt for this fall, as well as some other hunting related ventures.
Working on putting together a couple Bow Fishing rigs, as well as getting a Cross Bow all set up. Trying to line everything out in time for the Florida trips later this summer.

‘Congratulations’ to Jimmie Johnson for the Win in the NASCAR All Star Race yesterday.
I did not get a chance to watch it, I was travelling home from the ARCA Truck Race in Toledo, Ohio.
Bobby Dale Earnhardt and myself chatting about hunting.
I had a good time and made some new friends, as well as visited with others.
Driver Josh White did a super job at qualifying the #9 truck of Spur Chaser TV. Technical difficulties took him out of the race before the finish. Be looking for some upcoming info on the Facebook page about another contest and a chance for someone to attend the Kentucky race and hang out with Josh and myself for the day.

Big weekend coming up as we head to Toledo Speedway. Be looking for pictures and short video clips as we debut the Spur Chaser TV ARCA Series Truck.
Driver Josh White and myself will be on hand all day as he runs practice / qualifying mid day, Race to follow that afternoon. Be sure to stop in and visit if your in the area …
I am waiting on the Draw results for the Florida Alligator Season. Should have results posted by the end of the week.

I have been busy with the ARCA details, and working on some summer / early fall hunt dates.

I have been busy with sorting/loading gear for the upcoming trip. I depart Saturday morning for a 3 state hunting adventure. I will be pursuing a variety of game animals while I am gone, as well as hunting with a variety of styles/weapons.
My new weapon of choice for the trip … My Mathews CREED …
I am spending the day setting the new Optimizer sight, as well as getting in tune with the feel of it. Making some minor modifications as I go.
Cant wait to hit the woods with her. …

Details are starting to develop and be released in regards to the new venture for the Spur Chaser Crew.
I am teaming up with race car driver Josh White of Josh White Racing.
Be looking for more details to be announced as everything is worked out. I know one thing for sure, the Spur Chaser logo is going to look REAL good on the ARCA Series truck. NASCAR has always been a venue I have wanted to pursue. Think big, start small. Together we are looking forward to what the future holds.
