I'm still around the Texas City area for a bit yet. Ill be heading home the end of this coming week in preparation for my hunting trips in Oklahoma. The buffalo hunt is first the 4th and 5th , then turkey the 6th thru the 8th.

I haven't scheduled anything else lately for fall yet aside from Oklahoma deer , Colorado antelope , Missouri deer , North Carolina bear.

I'm in the market for a new video camera while I’m here in Texas. Going to spend some time this weekend comparing my options.

Good evening all , sorry for the delay in post’s …

I have travelled back to Houston for work and time is crucial.

I have managed to talk with several folks about possible hunting areas here in Texas. Could prove to be very beneficial for the ‘Team’.

Although work has been busy and on a tight schedule , I have found time to venture on my own. I spent Monday evening at the Reliant Stadium to attend the Houston Rodeo and Livestock Show. As well I was lucky enough to catch the Kid Rock concert. I had a great time and must admit that ‘The Kid’ puts on a great show.

I'vekidrock received a couple new calls and made a few new contacts leading to the success of Missouri Safari. Hope to have new news and positive updates to post soon.

Enjoy your week folks and be safe ….

Good morning all , I hope everyone has had a wonderful and prosperous weekend.

I am back to work which puts me in Houston , Texas for a couple weeks. I travelled down over the early part of the weekend and am now settling in.

I got a chance to see some good friends yesterday and even made it to a show of Cody’s. www.codyrosierband.com , Be sure to check them out. I enjoy there company and the shows. They are one of the next greatest things to come out of Texas.

Now that I'm back in the Houston area, I can continue with the work order for the hats and shirts for ‘Team’ Missouri Safari. Should have them in hand within the next couple weeks.

I don’t know about everybody else , but I’m sure getting excited for spring turkey season. My first hunt takes place in Oklahoma for season opener on April 6th. Ill be hunting with Mike Strickland on private property. You can see more of what Mike has to offer on his ranch website , www.sandrockhillshunting.com .

Ill be stopping along the way in my travels to get in a buffalo hunt with Steve Seibert at Triple S Ranch. www.sss-ranch.com

Upon arrival back home in Missouri from travelling to Oklahoma, our youth season will be coming in. Hoping to get the kids out and have some luck for a first bird.

Well folks , that’s the jest of it for now. Get some rest and prepare for the week ahead…

Good morning and Happy Monday to all,

I hope everybody made it through the weekend alright. Another week is upon us and we are another day closer to turkey season here in the Midwest.

I wanted to share a pic with everybody. We have a pond on one of our leases in Oklahoma. Holds some ducks but wasn’t sure about the fish. My partner Mike pulled this lunker from the pond yesterday …mikefish

With spring turkey season fast approaching, I have been thinking of new marketing tactics. Along this lines my mind has been drifting in the abiss of some far off forest. I have came up with a new phrase and am going to start having a phrase of the week , or so forth. So this weeks big winner is 'Its the Passion that fuels the Obsession , which in turn becomes the Addiction' .

With that being said ..

Have a happy week everyone and be safe …

Good morning all, another fine day in the making.

Id like to thank my friends up in Illinois with Waterfowl Mafia ( www.waterfowlmafia.net  ) . They were nice enough to donate a waterfowl hunt to my local chapter of Ducks Unlimited for an upcoming banquet.

I also wanted to say ‘Farewell’ to my buddy Bert with Bert’s Bait in Essex , Illinois. He is closing up shop and moving. The friendly atmosphere of his shop and the conversation will be missed.

The weather is improving folks, get outside and enjoy it …

New and exciting news from the home front and afield, …

I have recently teamed up with Ranch Manager Mike Strickland of Sand Rock Hills Hunting in Oklahoma. Not only am I helping promote the high fence and exotic hunts that they offer ( www.sandrockhillshunting.com ) , we have secured over 2000+ acres of fair chase hunting land. We are currently offering fair chase hunts for turkey , white tail and hogs. Lodging is available and included in most hunt packages. No matter your budget , we have something for everyone. Feel free to drop me a line with questions and for more info.

Spring food plots , with the weather taking a turn for the better now is the time to start preparing. Consider the game species you are trying to target and what you can offer them that is not already available in abundance. Remember to take into consideration your hunting style Sleeping half-moon. Rather it be archery or rifle , stand or blind. Deer paths and trails as well as movement based on bedding and feeding areas. A mineral sight never hurts to add , close to a water source if available.

Hunt hard , Hunt safe …
