After a rain delay, the drivers of NASCAR will take to the track today in Kentucky.

We had time as a family yesterday to spend some time out and about. We visited the local Bass Pro Shops for a bit as the kids enjoy it.

They got a treat as we exited the store to find a couple Monster Trucks parked on the sidewalk.

Grave Digger is my sons favorite so he was pleased…lol

Starting tomorrow , July 1 , Whitetail Tags will be available for purchase in Missouri. If you have a Hunt already planned, or are considering one … Tags are available over the counter and online.

I have been busy setting up the gun / bow for our upcoming Florida Hog Hunt. I am going to try and get some pic’s and video one evening of some practice in the dark.

These HawgLite’s are amazing in the dark. Feature an excellent beam and are very affective out past 100 yards. I mounted the Red lighted  ‘Sabre’ on my bow and the White lighted ‘Ghost’ on my rifle.

Good to see we have made it through the first half of the week.

I have been working on details for an upcoming sales event here in Illinois at a local bow shop. I will be posting dates / details soon as all the finals are made.

They took game 6 of the playoffs in Boston this evening to secure the Stanley Cup.

NASCAR got a shake up in the point standings after yesterdays Sonoma Race. ‘Congrats’ to Truex Jr. in his win.

We took some time out of the weekend to relax and spend time around the fire. We roasted marshmallows last night with the kids, after spending the day with family members at a bbq celebrating a birthday.

Our thoughts are with the family, friends, fans of Race Driver Allan Simonsen. He passed away suddenly yesterday in a crash during the running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Its Friday ….

I had a productive day yesterday as I met with the local school Superintendent. I have been working on introducing a NASP ( National Archery in the Schools Program ) to the local area schools. Meetings have gone well thus far and the school is extremely receptive and excited over the added curriculum. Next step is to present the idea to the School Board.

Along with the program , we will be offering a BAI ( Basic Archery Instructor ) class to those interested in obtaining there certification. The class will be mandatory for the teachers, as well as anybody wanting to help participate with the children involved.

So the Miami Heat emerge as  the NBA Champions. Honestly cant say I followed the playoffs that close. I am excited about the Blackhawks playing for the NHL Stanley Cup. They will be on the ice again tomorrow evening.

Another busy day as I meet with the local School Officials to try and introduce a NASP ‘Archery in the Schools’ program. The local school system is receptive and excited about the idea. We shall see what we can accomplish.

Here is a pic of my youngest practicing yesterday. She is excited to be able to practice with the rest of the family. And I must say, she is doing great.

I spent some time yesterday at Bass Pro with my two youngest. They have been taking pert in the Summer Camp activities offered for kids.

My youngest daughter decided she wants to shoot archery with the rest of us. Her older brother took the initiative to give me a hand yesterday instructing her.

I am sure she will make a fine archer …

I spent some time practicing yesterday, I just want to say ‘Thank You’ to my Archery Sponsors , … Mathews (CREED) , Dead Center Archery (Dead Level Hunter System) , HHA (Optimizer Lite Ultra) .

I shot this ‘Robin Hood’ while practicing at 32 yards from an elevated position. Had a nice grouping of 6 arrows , only 5 made the target … lol.

‘Happy Birthday’ today to my favorite hunting buddy , my son.

My son celebrates his 9th Birthday today.

We are off to the local Bass Pro Shops today at his request. He has his eye on some new camo … lol.

RIP Jason Leffler …

Our thoughts are with the Family, Friends and Fans of NASCAR competitor Jason Leffler as we mourn the loss.

Jason was involved in a dirt track accident that claimed his life earlier this evening in New Jersey. He will be missed …

Nationwide starts the action followed by the NASCAR Pocono 400.

Working on putting together a couple Bow Fishing rigs, as well as getting a Cross Bow all set up. Trying to line everything out in time for the Florida trips later this summer.
