Good evening all’
I'm sorry for the delay in post’s. I've got plenty of excuses, but none of them amount to the fact that I just didn’t get it done.
I've been busy with some travelling the last couple weeks. Along with quite a bit of hunting in a couple states. Hunting hasn’t been the greatest with the moon phase and weather pattern.
I did manage to spend some time checking cameras on the Oklahoma B3 Hunt Camp land while I was there.
Got a few nice pic’s and did some guiding while I was there. Had a hunter miss a shot on a bruin of a buck over the weekend. It’ll be a shot he never forgets…lol.
I'm working on some more hunt plans for late winter and spring. As well as planning for our Missouri muzzleloader season.
The weather has gotten me down with a bug, but Ill survive and dredge on.
I hope you all are having a good season and making the most out of your time.
Enjoy and be safe , …
Good morning my friends,
I hope all are doing well and the week is progressing along on a good note.
I spent some time on the Missouri property yesterday, doing some scouting and checking trail cams. I had this pic on trail cam and have been asking for ideas on the critter in the pic…
It’s a little hard to make out, but its in there.
Most the deer movement lately has been at night with the moon in its upcoming Full Moon Phase. I did have a few pics of some early evening and mid day movement though.
We are expecting a bit of a warm up here in the Midwest over the weekend.
Wishing you all the best with the remainder of your whitetail season, remember … ‘Hunt Hard, Hunt Safe, Hunt Often’.
Good morning all and welcome to the new week.
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend. Now time is quickly closing in on the Christmas holiday. Along with that comes the ending of our deer season. Then we get to start all over on counting down the days till fall.
Spring brings us the turkey season so many of us crave, as well as some summer fun hunts like hog / gator.
Its best to start planning now for next years ventures to assure you have all the info and details worked out.
Have a great week all …
Welcome to the weekend,
And a good weekend it has been thus far. I managed to put down this 9 earlier today. He came off the Missouri land. Ive passed on several smaller bucks the last few days and couldn’t resist this one. Has a bit of character to him. A good 9 point with a single sticker.
‘Good Luck’ to everyone else hunting this weekend. be safe, and enjoy.
Good afternoon,
Ive been busy over in Oklahoma guiding on the B3 Hunt Camp. Its been rough the last couple days with high winds. I did see a couple nice shooter bucks mid week before the weather picked up. Were hoping for better results this evening as a storm front moves in over night and tomorrow.
Here is a pic of one of the ponds on the property.
Rifle season is open in much of the country as of today. Ive had a few reports from friends of bucks being put down. I will be back in Missouri Monday to hunt our rifle season.
Enjoy your weekend all, … Be safe
Good morning all,
welcome to the start of a new week. How did everybody do over youth weekend?? Share your stories/pic’s. Always good to see our youth in the great outdoors and experiencing it at its fullest.

Good morning my Friends,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Happy Halloween filled with plenty of ghosts / ghouls.
I have got plans to hit the woods here in Missouri pretty hard over the next few days. I have a hunting trip coming up in Oklahoma on the B3 Hunt Camp, so I need to get in the time I can while I can.
I'm sure everybody is excited about the upcoming Rifle Season here in Missouri. It starts next weekend on the 10th. I wont be able to hunt opening weekend, however I will be after it starting that Monday.
Movement has been so-so in the woods. Everybody should start to see things pick up a bit as we transition from Pre-Rut to Full Rut. Not to mention the Moon Phase is changing now as well.
Warmer Temps in the Midwest will slow down daytime movement a bit, However, keep your eyes peeled for the big buck movement as they roam in search of hot does midday.
Enjoy the rest of your week folks and be safe.
Good Luck …
How was everyone's weekend??
Any good hunting stories or pictures to share ???
I was down sick for a couple days but did manage to get out in the woods yesterday afternoon. Seen 1 doe and 1 good shooter buck. He was just out of range and over my left shoulder. was still nice to see him. Maybe next time …

‘Good Luck’ to everybody in the woods or with plans to head in that direction.
Im sorry for the delay in post’s …
Ive been hunting the B3 Hunt Camp over in Oklahoma the last few days for the opener there. Seen a lot of deer and a lot of movement. Had to pass on a few GOOD shooters due to the lack of camera light. But still got a good show with a couple bucks locking up and scrapping. Ive had some buddies tell me that the deer have already started chasing here in Missouri.
Im looking forward to hitting the woods here in Missouri soon after an archery whitetail.
Ive got plans to head back west to Oklahoma the end of the month for there muzzleloader season.
Enjoy your weekend all and be safe…

Good morning all,
I know its early but I cant sleep. I am all excited over our gator hunt this evening in Florida with Central Florida Trophy Hunts.
Adam and myself were successful in putting 2 respectable alligators in the boat. Adams was a little over 9’. It was snagged with a grapple hook then hit with a harpoon and finished with the bang stick. I took mine with a 20 yard shot from a crossbow, then hit with a harpoon and finished with the bang stick.
We had a blast and was really impressed with our guide Grayson Padrick and his determination. We will definitely be back again.
This is an exceptional start for our fall season. Be looking for updates as we progress through our hunt schedule.
Its Friday ….
The Spur Chaser Crew is head’n south to Florida today. We will be hunting alligator with Central Florida Trophy Hunts over the weekend.
If you happen to be in the area, be sure to swing by the Cocoa Beach Pier this evening to visit for awhile. We will also be stopping in at the Bass Pro in Orlando tomorrow on Saturday.

Be looking for the Spur Chaser Crew in Cocoa Beach tomorrow, as we arrive in Florida for our alligator hunt this weekend. We’ll be hanging out at the Cocoa Beach Pier for a meet/greet tomorrow evening before hitting the swamp on Saturday.
Our thoughts go out to those in the path of hurricane Isaac.
The storm should play no part in our hunt other than some high water levels.
I spent yesterday in Oklahoma on the Spur Chaser B3 Hunt Camp. Had a bit more preparation to do in relationship to this upcoming fall season.
We still have hunt spots available in the schedule for this fall. Don’t let your chance pass you by on getting your wall hanger this fall.
Contact me for detail/booking.

‘Good Luck’ to any and all that are taking to the woods.
Way to go to driver Denny Hamlin and his crew for winning Bristol. The NASCAR race was hard with a lot of cautions and bad tempers, as usual for Bristol.
I spent the day in the woods with my two girls checking feeders and cameras as we did a little scouting for the upcoming fall deer season.
Ill be in Oklahoma next week for a day or two as I check the property there.

Our favorite driver (Tony Stewart) came in second for the second week in a row. At least he made a jump in the Sprint Cup Standings. Hopefully next week in Kentucky he can make it to the winners circle.
I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend. Lets get ready for the start of a new week tomorrow.
Good morning all and welcome to the weekend.
We ended up with the weekend off so we are going to enjoy some of what the local area has to offer. Me and a few guys from work will be heading out today to do a bit of skeet/trap shooting at Milford Hills Hunt Club , www.milfordhills.com . Sure to be a good time. As well as burn out some frustration and bring out a bit of camaraderie.
Be safe all and enjoy …
Howdy all,
Quick note to check in.
I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. I spent the weekend in Illinois with my family. Travelled back to Wisconsin for work on Monday. All is well here to date.
Jamie, Adam and myself are working out our fall hunt plans. As well as travel plans for some upcoming hunts. Ill be in Oklahoma with my family doing some hog hunting early July. Then me and Jamie and Adam get together in Florida for a gator hunt. That is sure to be a good time as we will be hunting the Space Coast for alligators.
Me and Jamie have a busy schedule for a trip out to the northwest late September in search of mule deer.
Ill be hunting the Midwest during archery season to take a whitetail or two for the freezer.
We have plenty of opportunity's for some great footage this year as we prepare for some awesome upcoming ventures with the Spur Chaser crew.
I have been working out some details and trying to get my son his first trophy class whitetail hunt this fall. That is sure to be a memory never to be forgotten by him or myself. Hopefully all goes well with negotiations.
I am also busy working on a wish list and putting in a few orders for new fall hunting gear. I don’t want to be taking to the woods with mediocre gear in the midst of ‘The moment of truth’.
Enjoy your week all and make the most of it. Your life is a play, choreographed by you yourself. Make it what you want. The only regret you will ever have is what you thought you should have done.
Happy Fathers Day !!!
Id like to wish you all a special day to enjoy your time spent as a father, and reflect upon the good things life has offered you.
I want to send out a special ‘Thank You’ to two special men in my life. Both are dear to me and have influenced me tremendously in there own ways through the years. First, my father … Second, my uncle.
Through thick and thin no matter where my life's path has ventured, they have always been there to help me find my way.
Enjoy your day , …
Good morning all ,
Welcome to Friday. I hope your week went well and you are wrapping up any loose ends before the weekend begins.
I will be travelling over the weekend. Heading south to Illinois to visit family / friends. Should be able to catch me Saturday evening at Rays Ranch House in Essex.
Be safe and enjoy all whatever your endeavors may be for the weekend.
Happy Birthday …
Goes out today to a very special ‘Lil Man , and my favorite Hunting Buddy. My son turns 8 today, growing up too fast.
I am proud of him and his accomplishments, and am looking forward to many more.
Today is ‘Hump Day’ all, be safe and enjoy. Lets get it over with and start on the downhill slide for the week.
Its Race Day folks …
As the Nascar Sprint Cup series hits the freshly repaved track of Pocono.
Be sure to check them out on twitter at #nascar. Find your favorite driver and follow them for updates.
Also, don’t forget on your Sprint series phone, you can get Race Buddy this week for in-car video and track camera views as well.
I hope you are all enjoying your weekend and wish you the best.
‘Good Luck’ drivers ….
Good morning all and welcome to the weekend,
Just a quick update as to the current happenings and some upcoming details.
Im still in Wisconsin working, be here a few more weeks yet. I have been busy working with Jamie on lining up our future hunt dates and travel plans.
We have successfully added a Predator hunt to our schedule in February.
We will be hunting with Hickory Creek Outfitters ( www.hickorycreekoutfitters.com ) . They are located in Kansas and not far from my home.
Our fall hunt schedule looks pretty good, as does next years already filling up fast.
We still have a few spots left for our Africa trip. If your interested you need to get ahold of me. We will be starting to look for our airline tickets and secure them here in a couple months.
Enjoy your weekend all and be safe …
Good evening all,
I hope you had a productive ‘Hump Day’ …
I have been busier than ever working out fall hunt plans. It seems as soon as I think I am done, the phone rings/an email arrives/a new text message/or something. Hunts keep piling up. Not that I'm complaining.
Originally,
I had planned on starting my season mid September for early season archery whitetail in Missouri. Well, then I got drawn for Alligator tags in Florida state hunting over Labor Day weekend.
Then,
I decided I am in need of a vacation with the family, and it only seems fair that since my son has been hounding me about it … we go to Oklahoma on a hog hunt the beginning of July.
Now,
All of this may not seem so bad to a few of you. But as I have already scheduled my fall season, these hunts have been added, and now ….
I am already having to schedule for next year. There is a late winter predator hunt in Kansas on the table, as well as a Kansas spring turkey hunt, and now a possible bear/elk hunt in Colorado for early next fall.
I did not realize there were that many pages/dates/places to write notes in a planner … lol
We will be hunting in Florida with Central Florida Trophy Hunts ( www.centralfloridatrophyhunts.com ) That hunt will have Jamie with Camoed Up Productions behind the camera, as well as my good friend Adam from Illinois/Myself trying to tag out on a couple of Florida's prehistoric dinosaurs.
Have a good evening all. Be sure to keep an eye here, and on my Facebook pages for updates/info/dates to everything up/coming.
Welcome to Monday,
‘Congratulations’ is due for Jimmy Johnson for winning the NASCAR Sprint Cup Race yesterday at the Monster Mile.
Im off work early today as to take care of business. I also had to do my interview for the Trial By Fire Outdoors radio show. Aaron Jones and myself had a nice conversation on the topic of ‘Field Points or Broadheads’ for archery practice. As well we got a chance to talk about the Spur Chaser brand and crew plans for this upcoming hunting season.
Hopefully your week has started well. If not, make tomorrow better.
Enjoy your afternoon/evening all.
Good Morning all and Welcome to Sunday,
Ive got a lot to do today with this being my only day off. Gives me a chance to catch up on phone calls/emails/texts/etc.
First off,
Ritchie had the Spur Chaser Racing buggy in Rausch Creek, Pa this weekend for an event. He Qualified well, in 10th for the Main Event. Come race day, he had some sort of electrical issue on the buggy and wasn’t able to finish.
Next,
Ive scheduled a trip to Oklahoma with the family for the beginning of July to do some hog hunting. Be a nice break after being away from home so long working. I know my son is excited and cant wait to try his skills again at a porker.
Ive got a few more details to be worked out on up-n-coming ventures for the Spur Chaser Crew. As soon as I line’m out, Ill post updates.
Enjoy your Sunday all and don’t forget about the Nascar Sprint Cup Race in Dover today.
June 1st, where has the time gone.
First, Ritchie Keller arrived yesterday in Rausch Creek , Pa with the Spur Chaser Racing buggy. For those that don’t know, I sponsor a buggy that runs in the Ultra 4 series. A lot of rock climbing, desert runs, etc.
At any rate, Ritchie ran qualifying today and placed 10th, good place to start from. Ill post updates over the weekend and hopefully some more pic’s as available.
Its my understanding that Ritchie broke his anti-sway bar today while running practice. He always stretches the boundaries and gives it his all.
Ill be posting some info/updates to my fall hunting season soon. Time is whisking by and I need to hammer out some last minute details.
Enjoy your weekend all and please be safe.
New contest on my Facebook page …
Good morning and welcome to Friday ,
I hope everyones week has gone good and your ready for another weekend. With this being a short week due to the holiday, it sure did fly by.
I have been busy working on fall hunt plans, including the Florida alligator hunt. As well as some other Spur Chaser business.
Id like to ‘Welcome’ Jamie Wells and Camoed Up Productions to the Spur Chaser Crew. Jamie will be in the field with me this fall behind the camera. We both look at this as a big step for us to be working together, and are very excited about the venture.
Lets get today over with and proceed to enjoy the weekend.
Happy Memorial Day weekend …
I hope everyone has had a good week. The weekend is upon us and it is time to relax. Be safe in your travels and any festivities you partake in.
In an update to my fall hunting season, Today the results were posted for Florida Alligator. I was ‘Successful’ in getting drawn. Looks like Ill be heading to Florida the end of August to pursue me a giant dinosaur
My season is starting to shape up already. .
Good afternoon all,
Today is Tuesday and hopefully you have gotten your week off to a good start.
I am waiting on Friday to find out about Florida alligator tags. With good luck, that could be the start to a great holiday weekend.
If you are planning on travelling this Memorial day, please be safe.

Good morning all,
A big ‘Congratulations’ this morning to Jimmie Johnson for winning the Sprint NASCAR All Star Race last night. He and his ‘over the wall’ crew pretty much dominated the events of the week. His Pit Crew won earlier in the week in The Pit Crew Challenge.
It has been a busy week already in the Charlotte area, with another week of racing to go.
Enjoy your day all and be safe …
Good afternoon all,
I hope your weekend is going well thus far. I just got off work for the day. It is extremely warm here in Wisconsin.
I'm getting cleaned up and relaxed, ready to watch the NASCAR All Star Race this evening. should be a good show from North Carolina.
Ive got a few of my hunts lined up for fall. Looks like my season is set to start mid September in Missouri. Ive got a couple other floater hunts Im waiting to hear about. If one of those comes through, I may be starting a little sooner.
Next Friday, May 25th , the draw results will be posted for Florida Alligator Tags. Ive got my fingers crossed and am hoping for the best.
Have a safe weekend all.
‘Congratulations’ to all the new graduates. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
Hey all,
I hope you survived your ‘Hump Day’ ok.
I am sorry for the delay in posts. I've been on the road travelling a lot over the past week, as well as working.
I spent the weekend in Ohio, then traveled on Monday to Illinois for a short one day job. When we wrapped that up yesterday evening, I travelled to Madison , Wisconsin for a job in the area. I will be here in Madison for several weeks, possibly longer.
Fall hunting plans are coming together. I've had to cancel a couple hunts, however they weren't on my original schedule that I had posted earlier. They were a couple ‘possible’ hunts that I can always take advantage of next season.
Ill be posting more details soon as to my fall hunt plans. As well as a couple possible openings for people to join me this fall.
Have a great evening all and be safe the rest of the week.
“HAPPY MOTHERS DAY” ….
I hope all the mom’s have a wonderful joyful day.
I am on the road travelling for a couple more days, then to Wisconsin for work. Ill keep everyone posted on fall hunt details, as well as travel plans and possibly … a few open spots I may have to join me in the woods.
I spent the evening with my family watching the Darlington NASCAR race. Was hoping for a better finish for Tony Stewart, but we’ll take the 3rd.
Well, have a great day all and be safe.
Good morning and welcome to mid week … lol
I hope all are doing well and pursuing your dreams.
I have some updates to my fall hunt schedule to date. It appears I will be travelling to Washington State, Oklahoma and New Mexico. I have a floating trip/hunt for North Carolina, as well as I am waiting on the draw for Florida.
With all good luck, I'm hoping for a successful and fun filled fall hunting season. I will initially start my season here in Missouri for opening archery, then begin my trip travelling west.
Make it a good day all and pursue your dreams. Only you can make them happen …
Good morning and welcome to the new week.
‘Congratulations’ to Keselowski for his Nascar Sprint Cup win yesterday in Talladega.

I will be in Springfield this morning for awhile visiting with friend Ritchie Keller (Owner/Driver of the Spur Chaser Racing buggy, Ultra 4 Racing series). Ritchie has the buggy in Springfield, Missouri at the fairgrounds for the 4Wheel Jamboree today.
If your in the area, be sure to stop by and say hello.
Enjoy your weekend friends and be safe….
Good evening all,
I hope all is well for everyone thus far this week.
Ive been out in the turkey woods a few times in the last week with no luck. Birds are doin there thing without any help to me … lol.
My job got pushed off a week or two so it will be awhile before I hit Wisconsin. The extra time has allowed me to work on some plans for the fall big game season. Ill post details on my upcoming schedule soon.
I put in yesterday for the Florida draw for alligator tags. I wont know the results until the end of the month.
FYI … we still have several spots available for our July/2013 Africa trip. Contact me for details if interested. $2750 hunt fee for 3 animals ( 1x Black Wildebeest , 1x Blesbuck , 1x Springbuck) includes lodging, meals, laundry, daily rate, trophy fees and taxes. (not included … airfare, processing and shipping of trophies). This is a 9 day trip (7 days hunting). Other animals can be added or substituted at a discount rate.
Enjoy the rest of your week and wrap it up on a good note.
Good morning and howdy,
Welcome to Tuesday …
We had a wonderful weekend celebrating my sons First Communion. Had family in from 4 different states.
He had a wonderful day and as we all enjoyed the visit. It was good to see all the family.
I am preparing to head north for work. I will be working around the Madison, Wisconsin area. It should prove nice for later this summer, as my wife and kids can come up to visit and we can take them to Wisconsin Dells.
Make the most of your day and be safe, Im gonna try to hit the woods for a bit if these storms pass.
Good morning all and welcome to Friday and the weekend.
Travels went well this week as we all returned home safe and are busy with family and friends arriving for the weekends festivities. My son has his First Communion tomorrow afternoon. We have a lot of family coming in from all areas of the country (California, Illinois, New York, North Carolina).
The weekend will be a lot of fun celebrating his Communion and spending quality time with everyone.
I am going to have to cut my spring turkey season short this year. I got a call and am needed at work. Ill be unloading my hunting gear / loading my work gear as I prepare to head north to Wisconsin for awhile.
Enjoy your weekend and be safe …. ‘Good luck’ if your in the turkey woods.
Good morning all and welcome to the new week,
For those that took to the woods in hopes of bagging a long beard, I hope it proved successful for you. If not, there is always another day. Any time spent in the woods is a bonus. Take advantage of it and learn from it.
I spent a few hours out Saturday morning with my son, hoping for his first bird. No luck for us thus far. Our season has been underway now for a week and I have yet to bag a bird. I am hoping for better results as we get into late season. By then, hens will be nesting good, and the toms will be a little more eager to travel on there own in search of that lonely hen.
Sunday we spent the day at the Springfield Cardinals baseball game. They lost to the Tulsa Drillers 6 to 5.
‘Congratulations’ goes out to Denny Hamlin for his second win of the season in the Nascar Sprint Cup series. He posted a win at Kansas Speedway yesterday.
We are in for a busy week here at home. We have some business to tend to and I will be doing some travelling as well. This coming weekend proves to be fun for the whole family, as my son has his First Communion. It is sure to be a good time with a lot of family and friends going to be here on hand to help celebrate.
Enjoy your week all. Be safe and make the most of it.
Good afternoon all and welcome to Friday,
The weather has turned here yet again. Cooler temps, clouds and rain, as well as a bit of wind. Not for the making of a good day in the woods … lol.
I will be heading back out tomorrow with my son to chase some longbeards. Hopefully he will get his first bird.
Update on the Spur Chaser Racing buggy …
Ritchie will have the buggy in Rausch Creek, Pennsylvania June 2nd and 3rd for an Ultra 4 Race and qualifier for the King of the Hammers event.
Keep an eye out for pictures and updates.
Have a great weekend all.
Good morning all and welcome to Thursday.
Not a lot going on here for us. I spent the past 3 mornings in the woods chasing gobblers. Only problem is, didn’t see or hear any gobblers except the one on Monday.
I'm taking a couple days off, then I will be returning to the woods early Saturday with the company of my son. I am hoping for better results while he is along.
‘Good Luck’ to those in the woods, enjoy the rest of your week and remember to be safe.
Welcome to Monday morning,
The start of a new week and opening day of Missouri Spring Turkey Season.
I just returned home from the woods, unsuccessful today.
I did have a Tom come in from a distance off, he came in on the backside of my blind set down the hillside toward the creek bed. I had him talking, but from his location he couldn’t see my decoy setup. I couldn’t get him to close the distance for a shot. Needless to say the ground forage is so thick I never even seen him.
I'm hoping for better luck tomorrow, as I may need to move my setup.
Have a great day all and ‘Good Luck’ to those chasing Gobblers.
And so the victory goes to Greg Biffle …
Biffle pulled off the win against Jimmy Johnson in yesterdays Nascar race at Texas Motor Speedway.
Today I recheck my gear and prepare for tomorrow mornings season opener of spring turkey.
I am hoping the weather will cooperate as we have had a strong front moving through the Midwest yesterday and today. Leaving a path of destruction as tornadoes, high winds and hail have been scattered.
Enjoy the remaining portion of the weekend and be safe …
Its Friday,
I hope everyone's week went well and the weekend goes even better.
There are a lot of people counting down to tomorrows opener of spring turkey. My season doesn’t open here in Missouri until Monday …
I've already got the truck packed and ready … lol.
I wanted to share this picture of my good friend Adam. He caught this cat last weekend fishing a bass tournament in Braidwood , Illinois. I'm pretty sure they were on Braidwood Lake when he caught it. 35lbs was the weight.
Enjoy your weekend and be safe all , Good Luck in the woods.
Good morning all,
I am sorry for the delay in post’s as I have been busy with new ventures as well as old.
I spent the better part of the day working on our property yesterday with my youngest daughter. While I set up a new barrel feeder, hung 2 new trail cams, filled all the feeders, … my youngest helped me spread some more food plot seed as well as broadcast some alfalfa cubes.
I like to start my plots early allowing me to over seed throughout the year for a continual growth rate through late fall.
I have a photo shoot scheduled for tomorrow, be looking for some new pic’s from that soon.
Our spring turkey season opens here in Missouri on Monday the 16th. I am excited to get back in the woods for a bit in chase of a big gobbler. I will have my son hunting with me some later in the season.
Enjoy the rest of your week folks, and remember … any time in the woods with a family member or friend is cherished by all and the things that memories are made of.
Happy Easter !!!
I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend filled with friends and family.
As I'm hearing updates to yesterdays Dirt Riot Race in Moab , Utah, … I'm hearing that Ritchie took the Spur Chaser Racing buggy to a 10th place finish. I don’t have all the details yet, nor any pic’s. As I get updates and info I will be sure to post.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and holiday.
Good morning all and welcome to the Holiday weekend. I hope you all have a wonderful Easter , and for those in the turkey woods … a successful, safe hunt.
Be looking for updates coming in as Ritchie Keller has the Spur Chaser Racing buggy out in Moab, Utah this weekend running in events in conjunction with the Jeep Jamboree. Ill post pic’s and updates as I get them.
There is a good chance a lot of local fans may get to see me and Ritchie together the beginning of May. The Oreilly’s 4 Wheel Jamboree is at the fairgrounds in Springfield, Missouri. Once the buggy returns from Moab, we’ll get it ready to run again, and see about getting registered for the jamboree.
Enjoy your festivities folks and be safe,,,

‘Way to go’ … to Ryan Newman for taking home the Sprint Cup Win in Martinsville today. Even after a early speeding penalty, he held on to put himself in a good spot for the finish. Team owner Tony Stewart also managed to finish in the top 10 after falling a lap down mid race. Tony’s decision to bring on Ryan with Stewart/Haas Racing has proven again to be wise. Consecutively you have 2 good drivers in the top 10 nearly every race. His recent decision to bring on Danica Patrick , should prove well as she gains from the teams experience.
Me and my son spent the morning in the woods again, with no luck. We did here a couple gobblers off in the distance, and sighted a Jake without a shot. However, we had a good time and made a fist full of memories for years to come. He will hunt with me during the regular spring season on our property as it fast approaches here in Missouri.
I hope you all had a great weekend, and I wish you the best for the upcoming new week.
Good morning all and welcome to the weekend,
I spent the daybreak hours in the woods with my son today hoping for his first gobbler. Not so lucky … he tired out quick and was ready to call it a day. We did manage to get the blind set-up as well as decoys out. we will give it another try tomorrow and hope for better results.

Welcome to Hump Day all,
I've been busy getting gear ready for me and my son. He will be hunting this weekends Youth Turkey season opener here in Missouri.
I've got another contest going through my Facebook page , http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Bill-Spur-Chaser-Ernst/125055520904735 , simply head over to my page, ‘Share’ the page with your friends and be entered to win a Spur Chaser prize package. Contest runs today through Friday. Ill notify the winner over the weekend.
Enjoy the rest of your week all …
Way to go ‘Smoke’ ,
Tony Stewart walks away with the win today of the Nascar Auto Club 400 in Fontana , California . Im sure its not the way the drivers wanted to end the race, but a win is a win. Tony moved up 3 spots on the leaders board with points. Rain called the race and put it to an early finish.
Me and my son spent some time on the property today. We put down some seed for a couple few small food plots in prime locations. As well we checked the feeders and started making a plan for the upcoming Youth Spring Turkey Season here in Missouri. I will be hunting my son the 31st/1st on our property.
I do believe I will be picking up a new feeder this week from Bass Pro. I have 2 on my property now, however they are home made gravity feeders. I am wanting to set up a permanent feeder in a remote location that I don’t have to tend to so often. I am also looking at putting up 1, if not 2, permanent elevated blinds. Ill keep you posted as to my decision.
I hope you all had a great weekend as it winds to an end. Be safe and prepare to start the new week out right tomorrow.
Welcome to Wednesday,
I hope everybody’s week is going well thus far.
I am home and busy working out hunt details/dates for a couple more possible spring turkey hunts out of state. Along with that, I am getting my gear ready for my son and myself for his youth weekend hunt the 31st/1st.
I am hoping he will show up the ol’ man that weekend.
Updates have been made to the Spur Chaser Store, as the new hats , beanies , and calls were added. Be sure to take a look at the website … www.spurchaser.com , they’re all located in the store.
Good morning all and welcome to the new week,
‘Congrats’ goes out to Brad Keselowski on his NASCAR race win yesterday. I was unable to watch the race as I was in the turkey woods.
Today I travel home to spend some time with the family and prepare for the next hunt.
Im not very hungry this morning as I get to ‘eat’ my tags for Florida Osceola. I didn’t have any luck in the woods. I did see a few birds and had them talking. I just couldn’t get the gobblers to separate from the hen’s and travel within shooting distance. At any rate, I did have a good time and enjoyed the hunt.
Have a good day all and enjoy your week. I am relaxing at the Orlando / Sanford Airport before my departure home.
Good evening all and welcome to the weekend,
I guess I should say ‘Happy St. Patty’s Day’ …
Ill say it now as I don’t know when Ill be able to post again in the next few days … lol
As most of you know , I have been in central Florida gearing up for the Osceola Spring Turkey Season. ( It starts tomorrow morning )
Im running on 2 1/2 hours of sleep in the last 48 hours. It has been a very busy / hectic trip. Ive been trying to keep pictures and video current via all the social media sites for all to see.
This evening we went out and did a little scouting for the season opener tomorrow. I seen a few pigs in the swamp land feeding, as well as a lone turkey. I called in the ‘Tom’ , not once but twice. The first time he was about 80 yards out and I managed to get him within 20 yards. The second time , he had disappeared and reappeared at about 60 yards along a brush line. I called him in again to within 30 yards. I have to say I am pleased with the new Spur Chaser line of Turkey Pot Calls. Tomorrow we shall see if I can close the deal on a Osceola before my hunt ends and I return home.
Keep an eye out for pic’s and video, I am trying to keep you all current on my happenings as the trip progresses.
Enjoy your weekend and be safe… ‘Good Luck’ if you will be in the turkey woods as well. I wish you all the best.
Evening all,
quick update from sunny Florida. Be sure to check Youtube ( Spurchasertv ) for video updates throughout my trip. A lot of great things going on.
Spent the morning riding around the swamp just check’n out the gators. Were getting ready to head out this evening for a few hours of bow fishing , then later tonight we will be doing some hog hunting with dogs off the airboat. Should prove to be an interesting evening / night.
Ill post video on YouTube as I can over the next few days.
Tomorrow Ill be out scouting and getting ready for spring turkey season opener on Saturday. I've already got my tags and license and am ready to go. We have a few hunting spot ready. I'm hoping for a good Osceola gobbler while I'm here.
Afternoon all,
Im sitting at the Springfield/Branson airport. Ive got my bag’s checked and my boarding pass in hand. I should be arriving in Orlando around 6pm Florida time.
Im looking forward to my hunting adventures with David Watson of Camp David Hunt Club.
David offers a wide array of outdoor activities to suit the whole family. From airboat rides through the everglades, turkey hunting in the spring and alligator hunting late summer to early fall. Be sure to take a look at his website for info or to plan your next trip. Be sure to tell him I sent ya.
Ill be posting pic’s as available, as well as maintaining my Facebook pages and Twitter alike. Keep an eye out for short video clips on Youtube.
Enjoy the rest of your week.
Good Morning all,
I hope this finds you well.
I've started to see some pictures of successful turkey hunts already. I wanted to mention another hunter in the woods that we all need to be aware of before heading out in search of a gobbler. With the recent rains and the warmer temps, Morel mushrooms are starting to pop up throughout the woods. The morel is a favorite amongst many people this time of year. Although there query and methods may not be the same as yours, we do share the woods with mushroom hunters.
Be vigilante while your hunting, be aware of your surroundings and what is beyond your shot. It only takes a second to glance beyond that big ol’ Tom.
Enjoy your day folks, be safe , and ‘Good Luck’ in the woods this season. Rather your hunting for turkey, coyote, or fungus.
Good morning my friends and welcome to the start of a fresh new week.
Be sure to start it on the right foot and in a good way.
‘Congratulations’ to Tony Stewart and the rest of the StewartHaas Racing Team for his win in the Las Vegas NASCAR Race yesterday. Teammate Ryan Newman did well placing in the top 5.
Speaking of racing,
Be looking for Driver/Owner Ritchie Keller and the rest of the Spur Chaser Racing Team in Moab, Utah April 7th/8th. Ritchie will be racing the Spur Chaser Buggy in the Dirt Riot Race. This race is run in conjunction with one of the biggest Jeep Jamboree events planned.
Ill be posting updates soon from sunny Florida. I travel south this Wednesday in hopes of harvesting an Osceola turkey and a wild pig or two.
Be looking for pictures and updates via Youtube as well.
Good morning all and welcome to Sunday,
With rain in the forecast, we don’t have a lot of plans for today.
Ill be watching the NASCAR race on TV and that is about the extent of my day. They are racing in Las Vegas this week. ‘Congrat’s’ to Kasey Kahne for setting a new track record, and winning the pole position for todays race.
Im slowly finishing up my packing for the upcoming hunting trip to Florida. I am truly excited to be starting my spring turkey season in the Sunshine State.
Have a great day and enjoy.
Good morning my friends,
‘Happy Birthday’ goes out to fellow Commando Pro Staff Member , Daryle Singletary.
I hope everybody had a wonderful week and is looking forward to a great weekend as well.
I am thinking about making a trip to the woods today. Do a little scouting for some turkey and take care of the feeders. Might even put up a trail cam while I am there.
Who knows, I might get lucky and find a shed or two.
Don’t forget about Daylight Savings Time , adjust your clocks forward one hour tonight before heading off to count sheep.
‘
Afternoon my friends,
Well the weather has changed a bit here in the Ozarks in the past 24 hours. We have dropped form the mid 60’s all the way down to the low 30’s. With rain moving in yesterday evening and rain and sleet today. Not making a good impression for us spring turkey hunters. Fortunately, season doesn’t start here for another few weeks.
This time next week however, I will be in Florida hunting near the Space Coast.
I'm currently waiting on a couple phone calls back from Rep’s with 2 bow company’s to help me clarify my decision on a new bow. Hope to hear something soon …
Enjoy the rest of your week …

Just a reminder, Daylight Savings Time begins this coming weekend. The clocks will ‘spring’ ahead an hour.
Enjoy your day and make the most of your week.
Welcome to the the weekend and Saturday ,,,
I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the weekend thus far .
FYI …
If anybody is in the market for a new bow this spring , before or while shopping take a look at the full line of new bows offered by Bowtech . They have an exceptional line available for 2012 . As well , they are offering a 15% discount to all Active Duty and prior military personel . It could save you quite a bit off that new bow you’ve been wanting . Ask your dealer for details . Info is available on the Bowtech website .
I do believe I will be ordering a new bow soon … still havent decided yet . Stuck between the same three ( Bowtech Insanity CPX , Mathews Helim , and the PSE Revenge ) .
Ill be sure to post my decision once its made .
I am doing some last minute shopping for my trip to Florida in the near future . Spring turkey season is fast approaching and I cant wait .
Good evening all and Happy Friday, …
I hope your week went well and you made the most of it . Now it is time to relax for most people and enjoy the weekend .
Our thoughts go out to all those that have been stricken by the devastating storms across the country as Mother Nature unleashes her fury on a premature spring storm season . There have been a good amount of tornadoes already reported along with a lot of deaths to add to the grim aftermath .
Speaking of death , a sore subject in any manner ,
I would like to extend my deepest sympathy and heartfelt remorse to a close personal friend , Terry Huffman . His father passed away this past week and was laid to rest . I didn’t personally know his father , but from my experience , to raise a son in the manner that Terry was brought up , says a lot for his parents and his upbringing . Our thoughts are with the family .
I received a package in the mail today …
It was the base , rings and scope for my Traditions Pursuit LT .50 cal muzzle loader . They arrived in Mossy Oak Treestand pattern to match the gun . I already got them mounted and am looking forward to spending some time at the firing range sighting the scope in .
Enjoy your evening all , and have a great weekend , be safe .
