14 days and a wake up , are long awaited fall archery opener . The day is slowly coming and I am ready , I think . …

I am planning on a trip to the property in the next few days . I want to make one more scouting round , check the feeders to be sure they will be empty in time , check tracks , and possibly hang another stand or two .

The temperatures here are extremely warm again , heat index over 100 degrees today . Not going to cool off much tomorrow either . The weather man is reporting cooler temps fast approaching come the weekend . By opening day , the long-range forecast suggests temps down in the mid to high 50’s at night and in the high 70’s to low 80’s during the day . Hopefully we can pick up some rain between now and then . I would like to see opening day dreary and wet , wouldn’t hurt my feelings in the least .

I took my son out earlier today to do some shooting . We were checking our sites and scopes to be prepared for rifle / muzzleloader seasons .

Good afternoon all , I hope your week is going well . We’ve almost got this one behind us . That puts us that much closer to fall archery season .

I have been busy working out dates for the Wal-Mart / Mossy Oak events coming up in my area . I will be attending several of the events at area stores in Springfield , Missouri , as well as my local store in Ozark .

Be sure to check with your local Wal-Mart stores for event dates in your area . There will be Mossy Oak Pro Staff members on hand as well as displays from local Dodge Truck Dealers .

The weather is cooling off here in the Midwest . Hopefully it will continue too and bring some rain before our season starts the 15th of September .

The east coast is preparing for the brunt of the hurricane . As it makes its way toward the Carolinas . Our thoughts are with all those in the path .

Its sure to be a good time . Id love to be there but I am at home working on things here . I have to shoot the bow a little this morning while it is still cool out . Then probably heading up to Springfield , Missouri to Bass Pro Shops for awhile . Today is the last day of the Fall Hunting Classic . Hello all , we have made it through another hump day . As of today , 28 and a wake up till our fall archery deer season opens . I know a lot of people have already hit the woods in the southeast , and I wish them the best of luck.

29 and a wake up , that’s all we have left until fall archery season opens here in Missouri . Every day closer it gets , the longer it seems to take .

We have some rain coming into the area here over the next couple days . Since the weather has cooled in the last week , I have decided to leave the trail cam’s alone a few extra days . I will be out swapping cards and checking feeders before the end of the week . I am hoping to have some nice pictures to share with you all .

Me and my son have been practicing with our bows together lately . He wont be hunting archery season this year , however he will be trying to fill his tags for rifle season . Keep an eye out for pic’s and updates on that hunt . It will be in the beginning of November .

Good morning folks and Happy Friday . Weve made it through the week . Lets make the most out of the weekend . I have family in town from Illinois this weekend . We are planning on spending some time at Bass Pro in Springfield . I need to pick up some more supplies for fall hunting season . As well , me and my boy need a new archery target to practice on .

Ive scheduled a few show dates that I will be working in the upcoming months . I will be at several Walmart stores working the Mossy Oak / Dodge events in Springfield and Ozark from mid September through mid October . These events will be scattered on weekends around my hunting travels . I will also be working the Fall Hunting Classic at the Springfield and Branson Bass Pro stores in the next couple weeks . The days are not set but I will post updates .

Things are good here . The weather has cooled and some much needed rain has hit us , and is in the forecast as well .

I've got a busy day ahead , as I make plans to attend several of the events in different locations for the Bass Pro Fall Hunting Classic . As well , I am working out details for the upcoming events scheduled at Wal-Mart's across the country . There will be 1300+ events at different stores , to include Mossy Oak and Dodge Trucks . Be sure to keep an eye out for details at a store near you .

I need to pick up some supplies for my muzzle loader and begin to practice with my bow . Fall archery deer season is right around the corner and will be here before you know it .

Now here’s something you generally don’t see this late in the year … twin fawns (spotted still) .

I made it home yesterday and am going through trail cam pic’s . Making plans to move my cam’s and continue to monitor movement .

Ill be spending a lot of time practicing with my bow in the next month , as well as sighting in my rifle and muzzle loader before season opens .

Good morning , the weekend has crept up on us again . Time seems to be going by faster and faster , until I think about hunting season . Then it starts to drag by ever so slowly , lol .

The big Hunters Expo starts today in Houston at the Reliant Center , runs through the weekend . Not sure if Ill make it or not , but Im going to try if Im still in town .

Im working on details for a 2 day hog hunt in Oklahoma for my son and oldest daughter . Hopefully for next week sometime . It will be nice to have them both in the woods together as well as on video . Would prove to be a very memorable experience .

Good evening all , the weekend is almost upon us . I should be wrapping up this job in Houston soon and heading back to the house in Missouri . It will be extremely nice to be home and relax for a bit . Only a short break though as fall season is fast approaching . I need to catch up on my practice and prepare .

I am hoping to take the family over to Oklahoma before school starts so I can get in a youth hog hunt  for my son . I have a friend who is thinning out there hog population within there high fence hunting area . This should provide a good opportunity for my son to take his first game animal . As many travels as we have been on together , he has never got to pull the trigger . I have had him shooting for the last couple years and feel confident in his skills .

I hope everyone’s week has started well . I am still in the Houston area for another couple days at any rate . Should be wrapping up this job shortly and be back home in Missouri by the beginning of next week .
