14 days and a wake up , are long awaited fall archery opener . The day is slowly coming and I am ready , I think . …

I am planning on a trip to the property in the next few days . I want to make one more scouting round , check the feeders to be sure they will be empty in time , check tracks , and possibly hang another stand or two .

The temperatures here are extremely warm again , heat index over 100 degrees today . Not going to cool off much tomorrow either . The weather man is reporting cooler temps fast approaching come the weekend . By opening day , the long-range forecast suggests temps down in the mid to high 50’s at night and in the high 70’s to low 80’s during the day . Hopefully we can pick up some rain between now and then . I would like to see opening day dreary and wet , wouldn’t hurt my feelings in the least .
