So much for turkey hunting today ...
Had a good morning in the woods yesterday . I didnt get a bird , but I did manage to call in a couple hens and had 2 long beards hang up . One on an adjacent ridge about 80 yards out and another in the wet water creek bed about 60 yards out . This morning started nice , no wind and the ground was damp from an overnite rain . As the morning progressed , the clouds got darker , the thunder started , and the flood gates opened . The weather man is calling for rain today and tomorow with the possibility of strong to severe storms . We'll see if I get back out or not . Better luck next time ...
