First off, we have to give a BIG ‘Congratulations’ to Danica Patrick for being the First Woman in History to Qualify for the Pole Position in the History making Daytona 500.

Considered a Rookie this year, she is sure to set milestones as she drives for Stewart/Haas Racing. Teammates and car owner Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman also qualified well as they held all 3 top positions for awhile. Veteran Driver Jeff Gorden broke up the pack nudging Ryan Newman from Second spot.
