Wow what a night , we had thunderstorms and wind all night . The rain carried over into this morning with it still being a little cloudy outside and chilly . Despite the wet weather this morning , I made a trip to the property to check the moultrie game cam . Had 73 pic's taken in the last 4 days . Alot of movement , still mostly at night but picking up during the day . Alot of good shooter size doe's along with a spike , a small basket rack 8 , a 6 , and a 5 point . Found a fresh rub inside of 8 yards of my gorilla greyback climber . Also found a scrape within shooting distance of one of my remington ladder stands . The cooler weather is starting to play a part in the deer movement and pushing them into the rut .
I have to mention it , dont want anyone to forget.... Colt Ford is on tour for his new album ' Chicken & Biscuits ' . He is playing in Springfield tomorrow night at Midnight Rodeo . Showtime is at 10:15 . If you get a chance you should stop in and check him out . His style of country hip/hop is like none other . Be sure to say 'Hello' if you make it to the show . Ill be there ....
