Good morning all ,

I hope your week is going well. I have been busy with travel/hunt plans for the upcoming season. I had to rearrange my schedule a bit from my return trip off my mule deer hunt in Washington state. I pushed up my Oklahoma antelope hunt by a week so I can pass through the panhandle on my return and try to stick me a speed goat with my bow.

I am getting excited for our season opener here the 15th , 6 and a wake up. The weather has cooled off tremendously compared to a week ago. We do have a slight chance of rain one or two days between now and season opener.

I have even seen a weather model that shows storms/rain the day/night before opening day tapering off on the 15th. That would be ideal.

The temps should stay in the low to mid 80’s during the day and falling to the low 50’s at night.

Let me remind everybody, it has been several months since climbing up/down in that tree stand seemed like work. Don’t be in a hurry with the new season and forget your basic safety rules. Take your time up / down your stand , never try to carry your weapon while climbing (use a gear rope to raise / lower items) , and always , ALWAYS .. use a safety system.

We have 6 days left folks in the most active Fan Club contest , don’t forget to join the Fan Club now for your chance at either a Primos ground blind or a Bass Pro gift card.
