Good morning all and Happy Hunting season ,

today ( October the 1st ) has always marked the fall archery hunting season across the country . Although a lot of states have already been legally hunting for several weeks now , there is just something about the October the 1st date .

Today , thousands of hunters take to the woods in search of elk , deer , antelope , and other species for personal trophies as well as the harvest of the meat . Memories will be made with fathers , sons , mothers , daughters , aunts and uncles . Generations mature in the woods together as a heightened right of passage , so to speak , is passed on from generation to generation .

I wish everyone the best of luck this season . Remember , the trophy is in your eye , you cant eat bone , I don’t care how long you marinate it . The experience itself is what memories are made of .
